I have a 1981 Carver Aft Cabin cruiser
In testing the Generator looks like I tripped the #1 and #2 breaker panels on the boat. Trying to get everything turned back on is a challenge. Seems like and over load tripped a GFI somewhere that I cannot find and I have no electric manual for this boat. as items are not coming back online.
Is there a manual of the electrical setup or can someone help me through the discovery process to figure out how to get the receptacles, Stove, Air conditioner etc back on.
I have two inputs from shore power that also come from Main panel to the dock. Both are hot and I reset in case was tripped. Not the current issue. I turned all breakers off in the two breaker panels #1 and #2 in my boat and started from Main power resetting it and my two shore power breakers. The cords have lights on them so power showed up to the boat inputs on the side. Panel 1 I flipped back on and some receptacles came back on. Stove was and issue seems to short somewhere so I took out burners and it now comes on and does not trip the breaker. believe age and life of burners requires replacement. Battery Charger will not return to on position nor with the AC in the 2nd breaker. What is next to test or look for?

While there are several possible issues, I’ll throw this one in FWIW…I have 2 x 30 amp cords coming into my boat. A few weeks ago, the cord that handled my AC units kept tripping. It could run one AC unit but as soon as I turned on the other, 10 seconds later it tripped. Tried different things and came to the possible conclusion my main breaker was going bad. Replaced with new and all is well.
How long has this been going on or is it a new issue? Has any work been done to the boat or any electrical components. Any change to the shore power connections? Is it possible you have reversed polarity? Give us more background.

FYI, I love boatered, but there is also a Carveryachtowners forum. I spend some time on it as a Carver owner myself.
