Hi guys, in my searching I came across the following boat. I don't like the layout but is looks like it may be bought right. Looks like an owner gave up and decided donation was best. It is currently at $1825.00.

Just thought someone may be interested, only 2 days left. Looks like some ($4000??) TLC and its a decent boat but who knows. You may want to call the broker and ask their opinion.

My quest continues!

interesting specs on the boat. really wide for it's length and twin inboards in a relatively small express cruiser.

The boat is listed as "last used in 2005". My guess is that you will not be able to sea trial this boat before buying it. I learned my lesson a long time ago about buying a boat that for what ever reason could not be seatrialed. I cost me thousands in repairs before I could put 20 miles under the hull. Non-disclosed repair costs could easily exceed the value of this boat. Add in the fact that you will need to transport the boat to Ohio, my call is the boat can't be "bought Right" at any price. You indicated that you did not like the layout. Unless this is the boat of your dreams, and unless you can really get a good good test drive, I would pass on this one, and wait for a good deal that you can take for a ride before you buy.

I don't want the boat for me, it does not fulfill my wants/needs list, there is no way I would buy it from Jersey to have to get it here. I just posted to let others know it's out there in case they are close and interested.

for what it's worth, i seatrialed a boat that hadn't been run for a few years and we lost both engines during the trial. i walked away from the deal even though the marina selling it was giving me a tremendous trade-in deal on my boat. lesson learned, though. a boat that hasn;t been run in a while will have lots of problems. i ended up getting the same make / model but had to have it shipped across the country. even after shipping, it was still cheaper than any other of its kind in the country, except for the disaster i seatrialed. so don't automatically discount a long distant boat. if the proce is right, it could make sense.

While its hard to tell in photos, and you would expect a 20 year old boat to show some wear, that boat looks pretty beat up to me. I can just about smell the mildew in the interior.
