Over the winter I purchased a small pontoon boat with a 2012 Yamaha 60 hp, 4-stroke. I am trying to determine if it is a 60F or 60T. From what I read the difference is the torque and prop. My owners manual is for F50, T50, F60, T60, and F70, but doesn't say how to tell the difference. Will the serial number tell me what I have? Thanks, in advance.

Isn't there a F60 or T60 model designation above the serial # on the sticker attached on the port side of the mounting clamp?
Apparently the high thrust T60 can fit a larger diameter prop and has a larger fluid-capacity gear case.

Tim- Apparently the T60 has the designation " HIGH THRUST" under the "60" on the back of the top cowling.

That should be a pretty good clue,.... unless the cover was switched.
