30 foot santego windlass

Anyone out there with a windlass on a 1989 30 foot Santego? What size and make did they recommend? Perhaps Kenny might remember. Will a Bruce anchor work on it? Thanx. By the way, is it out of the norm for one engine to burn a full 10% more fuel at the same rpm as the other? I switched props so its not that, carbs were both rebuilt. could it be timing? or just a tired engine. 700 hrs on them.

How are you determining the 10% difference? By fuel flow meter? Or?

Fuel flow meters and supported by filling the tanks.

Check the spark plugs and wires, etc maybe its time for a tune up.....

They came with a "Good" Winlass. I forget what model it was. Mine was all rope rode....
