The shower pan is taking much to long to drain. It's sump box , switch and pump operate correctly. I assume the hose between the shower and the box is clogged. I am afraid to us any caustic drain cleaners and the drain cover is on tight. I am left with trying to run a wire up from the sump and try to "Roto-Root" it.
Any other ideas??

did you check the screen at the sump inlet? they clog up after a while, especially if you have long hair women on board...

Fill the pan with water and then try a plunger......just keep the floor hold and the top of the sump box open so that you can quickly 'catch' any 'stuff' before the sump's pump snags it.

I was faced with that last year. I tried cleaning products and diluted bleach without success. I finally removed the drain hose from the sump and found that a regular hose nozzle fit into the drain hose almost perfectly. Backflushing using dockside water pressue freed all kinds of junk. The shower floor wasn't pretty during the process, but I was able to send it back to the strainer in the pump by rinsing. It was overall an easy job and I'll use the same technique next time.

You'll notice that those hoses aren't all sturdy - I'd hate to see a snake or wire puncture a hole in the hose between the drain and the sump.

Thanks. I have been using the plunger with no effect. I'll try the advise here and report back next week.

Report: I used the dock hose to back flush from the sump box.It blow out some crud into the shower pan-less than I think is in the drain hose. However, the result is the shower now drains quickly again.
Either the boat lists to port or the the shower pan was installed with a tilt to port-away from the drain. this leaves a puddle on the pan. I think I'll live with that one!
Thanks for the help.
