4 hp evinrude remove cowl - stumped!!!

Please can anyone tell me how to remove the cowl from a 1979 4 hp Evinrude outboard? I know enough not to undo the screw on top of the motor as it holds the recoil together but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get this thing apart.. do I need to undo a couple of screws from underneath by coming through the lowest part of the cover? I have looked at every utube video I can find and none of the teardown videos show them taking off the cowl!! if you know of one please let me know... I even looked in an old service manual and it does not show this particular 3 piece cowl... HELP!!! Graeme

I think there is a latch to remove the top half

I would try removing the 2 #7 "Screw- motor cover" s .
