We were out at Croton on Saturday and some clown with his son came cruising through in his Baja with the radio blasting at a ridiculous level. He then stopped between my boat and another larger boat and appeared to be fiddling with his radio or something under the dash. I was in the water with others when I saw him about 20 feet from the bow of my boat and in gear heading for it. I started screaming and he finally looked up and gunned the engine in reverse to back off with maybe 10 feet to spare. With so much room around WTF is the matter with peaple that they must come into such close quarters.

Just wanted to vent.

Reminds me of the 30-40' something Formula that frequents Croton. Always barrels in at 8 or 9 knots kicking up a nasty bow wake. When asked to slow down since they are very close to other boats the response is, "this is as slow as the boat goes". Makes you wanna swim over and smack the spit out of them!

Idiots are everywhere. Including the F-Tard on the jetski in Bowline Saturday.

It is a shame but all it takes is a checkbook to get into boating. Common sense and/or brains does not matter. Your day was lucky Mike that he did not hit your new boat nor any of the people in the water. I am sure it was important that he got the radio adjusted correctly.

Was also in croton on Saturday and saw an idiot up on shore with his boat, luckily the park police stopped him and must have called police who came by boat and were checking him for a while.

The world must be full of morons they seem to be everywhere.

Saw and heard a police boat come flying into Croton on Saturday afternoon. Maybe someone called about the incident. We were anchored way off to the Half Moon Bay side so we couldn't see him after he moved in among the other boats.
