Sunday after leaving atlantique we went to cedar. They have the slips roped off so we tied up to the floating fingers.
3 different boats came in on plane into the basin. All three then went under the rope and tied to the bulk head... all at different times of the day...

Then at ss3 one of the same bone heads never came off plane as he passed the fuel dock and continued down the canal....

WTF.....

Rob

Those armatures got off lucky flying into SS3. On Saturday before heading to Kismet, we fueled up at SS3. While approaching at idle speed, just past the 5mph sign, there were a few boards floating and one was vertical about a foot above the water. Most likely the boards came from the Anchorage..... ;)

Ahh...some people never learn....they think the bay is theirs cuz the bouys ain't out so no one is lookin. I sometimes will lean a little heavy going through the n/s cut on my way to cedar but never above "crazy" (i.e. 8mph versus 4) but c'mon, coming into cedar on a plane? Why do you think they kick us outta there before it's officially open?

I was tied up at worlds fair marina yesterday and the same thing happened. Some old gezzer in a grady white came barreling in past my boat then into the boat basin on semi plane. I shouted and waved my arms for him to slow down but his head was locked in one direction staring forward the whole time. What a D#*k.

Went to Gilgo over the weekend. My boat fits under the rope. The beach is almost half gone and the dock is a mess. Most of the poles are almost out of the water or leaning over.

Don, did not see you out this weekend when I pasted your house. Is the boat ready ? Like the new Sea Ray the girls got two doors down from you.

Adam, what were you doing at worlds fair marina. I'm across the street at Shea for most Met home games, like now.

good.... I was in & out of the boat all day cleaning....till about 2pm then to work. You should have stopped for a cold one. Yeah....the girls new Sea Ray is really NICE.....the blue hull looks good.
Got my fuel delivered today....ready to go !!!

Hows your boat runnin ??

Hey Rich,

The New York Water taxi runs from Brooklyn and Manhattan to all home Mets games. I was training on the run yesterday. We get there about 20 minutes prior to the game and tie up until 30 minutes after the last pitch. I hung out on the boat yesterday reading and sunning. I think NYWT has a box if the crew wants to watch the game. You'll have to email me your cell and I'll let you know next time I do that run. I'd love to see your perspective of the game! I also may be taking my two girls to the game on Saturday May 12th. Let me know if you'll be working at Shea that day?

Adam

Hey Don,

No, I left there around 5 PM on Sunday.

Adam

Not here on the 12th. I usually don't work a day game after a night game. Penny conscience SNY doesn't want to pay short turnaround. I'm at Shea 6 hours before game time when I'm here. I emailed you my cell #

Hey Adam I am usually on the Bklyn-Peir 11 ferry each day. Which run do you normally get?

Danno - is that the one from the Brooklyn Army Terminal?

Danno,

The Brooklyn Army Terminal - Pier 11 run operated by New York Water Taxi but is contracted out to the American Princess. A few weeks ago the American Princess was taken out of service for maintenance so the yellow water taxi boats filled in for a few weeks. I did a couple of AM runs and a few PM runs. The American Princess is now back in service so we will not see that run until the A/P contract expires. In the meantime, I will probably work on saturdays and sundays running the Hop on Hop off excursion runs. I'll be working with Sea Tow Great South Bay (Amityville to Howells Point and Fire Island) on fridays and mondays as well.

Don, boat is running good, but I'm getting salt water in the bilge ( Not much ) . Can't find where it is coming from. I cleaned out the bilge with a vacuum and somehow it comes back either over time or when I'm driving. I'm trying to come up with a pattern when it happens.

"Good Life"
Frank

yeah the AP was back on the route yesturday, I had been driving in last few weeks so I was not sure what had happened, I thought they may had lost the contract. The yellow water taxi are much faster and have AC which the AP does not. All-in-all still a good service and your company picks up the slack whenever the AP has trouble. Before Water Taxi got the route, if boat was down so was the route.

Maybe our paths will cross, Sometimes I'll take the water taxi across the river and have lunch at Pete's.
