I was thinking about boating out there this weekend. just wanted to see whats up.

Are the races starting already?? If my Newport RI cup experience has any relevance you wont be allowed close enough to see much. The SF shore should be a great viewing area. Or maybe a bay cruise boat that would have a special viewing area.

Yeah, if you get too close to them, they'll fire one across your bow! [:-pirate]

They are running the "world series" right now. Just a warm-up for next years activity.

I heard that they only have three or four entries for the big cats next year. Quite a disappointment.

SF "invested" over 30 million for this show. I hope for their sake, they get paid back like they were told they would be.

Either that or Ellison should step up and pay all of the expenses himself since this was his baby to begin with.

Lack of participation is one way to win a race... [:-yawn]

Was out today. Pretty crowded and they keep you a long way from the action. The view would have been better from the shore at Marina Greens. I am pretty sure they are not charging spectots for this round on shore. None of the Bay Cruise boats were inside the restricted area. Wasn't too windy but a lot of current kept the boats watching bunched up pretty close. I suspect this weekend will be pretty crowded based on today.
