Another Brick in the Wall

New to forum – impressed already. New owner of 1988 Grady White Sailfish. Last owner cut holes in wall of head to mount stereo and speaker. Wall is original plywood covered with Formica with teak edging. Wondering if anyone has used “Starboard", marine lumber, or “polymax" sheets. Thinking of replacing the walls to 1) fix the holes, 2) update the interior. Any thoughts/ideas welcome. Might even replace the transom wall in the cockpit (it's made out of same stuff).
