My launch planning for this season got me to thinking about that nasty Nor'easter last April that caused major damage all over the Northeast. My marina in Warwick RI was still not quite right in October...I need to take a run down there next weekend to be sure everything has been repaired, as some are safety issues (e.g loose boards covering utilities on dock). Is your marina back to normal...is your boat back to normal? Riverbed, I seem to recall you commenting about a boat with dock attached floating down the Saco. Do I remember correctly...do you have a pic?

This 48 footer broke loose and wandered around the mooring field before ending up on the shore-side of the University of New England dock. Twenty-foot swells and breaking surf were rolling thru the area and no one could get out to save her. Lost 3 houses and a road in the neighborhood but all's good this year. I'm itching to get the dock in but with the huge snow pack in the mountains - a big rain and quick thaw up there would send a tremendous amount of water, trees and debris past the house...

Here's our dock landing behind the house. It's about a half mile or so from the Atlantic and at a full high tide, the water's still 5 to 6 feet below the decking. That afternoon, it was halfway between the decking and the rail. We're really lucky something didn't come downstream and rip the whole thing out. The next day I sent a case of champaigne to my dock guy for doing a great construction job.
