I have a meeting in Atlantic City in August. Tossing around the possibility of going by boat but don't want to beat myself up in the process. Has anyone done this & is it a pleasant or difficult trip? Also, how long will it take approx. & are there marina options other than Trump?

Atlantic City is the only place down the shore I know little about. Rarely been there since the casinos took over.

I did it this weekend last year. We were only gone a weekend so it wasn't worth it.
I forget how long it took, maybe six hours? We were lucky with weather. On way down, we stopped at Mannasquan Inlet to refuel but on way back we went from AC to Liberty Landing on one tank.

The marina is the Golden Nugget. Nice spot with an outdoor dining area, bands, etc. They also have a pool on the rooftop, you have to ask for pool passes. We took a taxi to other casinos.

Stopped in AC for the night on my way bringing my boat from Chesapeake Bay this spring. It took 6 1/2hrs doing around 21 knots. Will you get beat up? All depends on the ocean. We had a day where it was glass so it was a great run. If the ocean gets snotty, it can be an unenjoyable trip.

When we were at Farley State Marina, (the original name of the Trump Marina), there was no need for taxis as there are shuttle buses that run very regularly. Easy way to get around.

I agree with Hank, you have to really watch the conditions. I've seen dead flat like a lake to 8-10's on a never ending collision course with the Boat. I prefer the former!

I've done the trip three times and been lucky all three times and had good weather I have made shorter trips an been beat up. If you can make last minute plans and drive if it's calling for bad weather then it could be a nice trip. The Golden Nugget seems to be the place to go.

The old Golden Nugget only hails from channel 65 just an FYI.
