Went out the watched the weigh in for the bassmaster tournament. This was the first time I've went since they've been having them in the delta.
What a difference a day makes, Browning weighed in limits of more then 20lbs both Thur. and Fri.
Today he weighed in only 1 fish for 13ozs.
Greg Hackney had a good day 1 of his fish was 8lbs 10ozs.
Might go out tomorrow for the final weigh in, its supposed to be a nicer day.
After seeing all the fish, and the forecast of 70deg temps all next week, it sure gives me the bug to get out and go fishing.

I was there today too.

I've been a lifetime member of BASS since the late 70's. Back then you couldn't even get them to acknowledge the Delta, let alone California!

Times have changed!

Wet a line while the gettin's good!

Pro Bass Tournaments, mostly regional, have been held on Bethel Island for several years. They are brought in by Hook, Line and Sinker Bait Shop and Gas Dock at Russo's Marina on Piper Slu. I've seen them weigh in a single fish of 15-18 lbs. Those suckers are really growing in size now that they are "catch and releasing" the fish. Final Weigh Ins are on Sundays around 3:30PM. Very exciting to watch!
