Battery charger on 1986 3297 Mariner

Most likely in the engine room
 
Is the boat an aft cabin model? I have heard of some being under the rear aft cabin berth. I would check the ER 1st follow #6 leads from the batteries or switches they should go to a common place or component called the charger.

Do you have a lower helm? My Mainship from that era had the charger inside the space created by the lower helm.

On my 3297, 1986 is on the stern wall on the port side behind the water heater, right under the deck. Not sure if that is the original spot or not, but its where mine is.
 
Mine was mounted directly under the salon door, visable when the rear decks are opend up. It was a C-Charger. I replaced it with a newer one that would do AGM's
