I have now done a stupid thing twice. I thought if I posted here it may help me to remember not to do it again. I do have a question however. What happened is that while working on my Honda 75 I turned the motor off by turning key one notch only instead of the two notches and left it in that position. I guess that must be the accessory position. This drains the battery completely. I have a fishfinder [turned off] with separate switch, tach, and that is about it for electronics on the boat. What actually drains the battery with the key left in this halfway off position? I am guessing it is electronics in the engine. Also is there any harm done other than shortening my battery life?
