A ferry traveling from Sausalito to San Francisco with 500 passengers on board was struck by a fast-moving smaller boat on Saturday, officials said.
The collision reportedly occurred at about 4 p.m. near Raccoon Strait, just south of Tiburon. A medical evacuation by helicopter was ordered, but the extent of the injuries for the four people aboard the 18-foot pleasure craft was unclear, U.S. Coast Guard spokeswoman Pamela Boehland said. The rumor is that there was a fatality.I saw the Bayliner that was badly damaged and I still don't understand how you can not see the big ferry.
