Had to come out here for a meeting---at La Costa north of San Diego. The Admiral and I have time on Sat. to go down and tour that area, and wondered if anyone can offer some advice?? If a marina is open --I like to collect T-shirts from different ones. We have a rental car so any info would be helpful.

Did I post in the wrong section ?? I see this is SF Bay, but ? I don't know where the Delta is ?? Thanks.

Dusty,

The Delta is in northern California, you may want to try the California section of the cruising guides http://www.boatered.com/forum/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=17 there seems to be more southern California people there. It wouldn't hurt to pst it on ATC either. If you're going down to San Diego, most of the marinas are concentrated in the Shelter Island area. I'm not sure what days and hours they are open.

Enjoy your stay and I hope you find SoCal interesting! But.....you have GOT to make a trip to the CA Delta sometime. Late summer through autumn are awesume times here. There are places where you can rent a boat for a few hours or a few days or more. Come here once and you will want to come again and again and again!!!!

SFBay is at the Pacific end of the California Delta.

Dusty,

Though I've been in Northern CA for almost 18 years, I used to live in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, just a few miles south of La Costa. The closest Marina is in Oceanside, no dounbt thy have T-shirts. Have a great trip!
