We're at a marina where our dock (A-Dock) has a reputation for being the most friendly and this winter we continued that tradition. Two weekends ago, 24 of us met at a hotel in Newport and really enjoyed seeing each other. We did the usual cocktail hour (somewhat extended) and then went off for a great dinner in Newport. Being with boating people away from their boats (and with all of their clothes on) really lets you get to know them.

This last weekend, we joined a a few boaters from A-Dock at Stowe, VT for the weekend. It was cold and snowy but again, was a chance to spend some time with people we like... and who love boating as much as we do.

We really wish that more folks on this site could get together during the cold weather.

Just an idea...

We have our "B" dock dinner this coming weekend.

I expected a more caustic topic when seeing the title of this thread. Boating fu in the winter

Hogan,
Enjoy the Dinner. We miss those we would have as our New Year celebration.

Some good news for Peg and I; Rick tells there are slips available on "C" Dock.
Not exactly home but very near the same neighborhood.
