I think I may have asked this before, but has anyone taken a boat up past the surge barrier into Providence.
Last Saturday I ate at a resturaunt on South Water St. that overlooked the power plant. It had about 20 dock spaces for boats up to about 40'. There were a few live aboards tied up there over the winter. I was thinking that it would not be a bad place to keep the boat for the winter. The power plant probably dumps heated water back into the river, thus keeping it from freezing.
Anyway, I was thinking it might make for a nice ride, and a nice way to take friends up to see the Waterfire next summer. I was wondering about the availabilty of dockage during summer weekends?
