I have heard that there is no transient dockage in Chicago area and that you should stay in an outside area and then travel to Chicago for a day trip. A couple of questions? Best place to stay for a craft that travels at about 15 mph? Is there something in Hammond area or do I stay in Michigan City? Are there resturants on the waterfront that you can tie up at a seawall and stop for lunch, or do you just cruise the area and return to home base? Are there any security issues?
