Can't get the fridge out

Trying to take the main fridge out of my 97' 330 and it seems to be hooked on something at the bottom.

I have it about 1 inch away from the cabinet and can tilt it forward about 4 inches at the top but the bottom only comes out 1 inch.

Is there something else I have to take out first to get to it to remove it. It needs repair and the new fridges won't fit.
 
I don't know what kind of fridge you have, but I just replaced my Norcold DE561 and there was a bottom trim piece that needed to be removed before the fridge would come out. However, it wouldn't move at all with out it coming off, so I'm not sure that's your issue. There was just two screws located on the far outside face of the fridge frame that needed to come out. Otherwise, there was nothing but the AC plug and the DC wires holding it in. Good luck!
 
I had that plate across the fron and removed it. I think it is a searay specific install issue or something...

maybe it is the wires but it really feels like it is hooking on something.

Ur right it is sitting on the botton lip of the glass cut out . U have to lift the fridge straight up then out. ITs RETARDED. But thats the trick. Just dont drop a nut in the process... ITs just another searay WTF... guess this way didnt have to worry about the sissy screws they use to secure stuff.

My son will be home this afternoon and I will get him to pull out the bottom while I lift it up. I will let you know if I do it w/o breaking something:)
 
Bob.. I hope you are not planning on removing the fridge from the boat, I had to and it was a PITA.
I had to remove all of the hardware from the rear and rest it on top while trying to get it out the door, about 3/4" to spare.
Also, the NORCOLD replacement will fit in the hole but you will need to remove the cabin door to get it in the boat.. I was lucky and found a replacement for the original (that has been out of production for a few years now...)

Not sure exactly what to do. Are they possible to fix? If so I will bring a repair man in to do so. Worst case I will have a lot more cabinets and just use the fridge in the cockpit
 
You can keep the box and replace the guts with something from Isotherm or another manufacturer. That way all you have to do is pulled the compressor, coils and wiring and replace it with the new stuff. There are a lot of companies out there that will sell you the unit ready to install. Cheaper, less hassle and more reliable. I have a 20 year old Norcold and I can't get it to die! It's the loudest thing on the boat and I've got an isotherm unit picked out! The isotherm is so quiet you can't tell if it's running or not!
 
I believe you will be better off in the long run with a new fridge. Probably cheaper as well.
