We spent about five weeks in Capitola for our annual vacation there. We had the boat tied up to a can in the Capitola harbor. I just wanted to give a shout out to the guys at Capitola Boat and Bait for the wonderful service they give at the end of the wharf. Ed, Mike, Myron and Frank. Good place to go if any of you want to chase Salmon or Halibut around in the bay. Fishing was so-so but we managed a few halibut but the salmon were to far and few between so I left them alone this year. A gorgeous place.

I just heard of a party boat, Hog Heaven out of Sausalito bringing in lunker salmon recently. Find out where they were fishing......

Most of the salmon around Santa Cruz were taken out near the Soquel Hole, straight out from Moss Landing. However, a rental boat out of Capitola caught a 15 lb salmon out in front of the Capitola harbor in 30 ft of water...you never know. Fish or no fish, Capitola is one of my favorite places. Nice to hear from you Flutterby

Salmon and albacore fishing have always been my most exciting kind of fishing! I've done mostly stripper fishing 'cause I spent most of my time in the Delta.

Compared to those, trout catching up here in the Gold Country is kind of lame.....

Yeah, I recall "fishing" for "stripper's" at Bethel Island's BoatHouse and Lost Isle a few times in my younger days!

But since my wedding day, I've concentrated on Delta "striper's"... [:-bonc01]

Capitola is a VERY nice place to visit!

My In-Laws made an annual week-long trip there for over 20 years straight.

A five week vacation??? Sweet!!! [:-thumbu]
