Carpel Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) and boating.

That's what my second surgery was - two stitches. I think he put on the brace and large bandage because that's what he had always done. They were really not needed. Good luck with your surgery whenever you have it. I'm sure you'll be fine. Unfortunately, over the last 15 years or so, I've had too many surgeries (all necessary) for too many conditions. I'm trying to stay away from surgeons at the moment; they seem to be contagious! Hy

My 83 year old Mom had both hands done a couple of years ago about six months apart and she was great after two weeks. I'm not saying rush into it but don't be afraid to have it done if need be. I'd get a referral from Hy since he had a good experience.

I am scheduled for surgery next Wednesday at the LI Hand Center in Huntington. Dr. Jerry Ellstein.

Wish you the best. I had 'trigger finger' surgeries (don't ask!) at that hand center, though with a different surgeon; great care and treatment there. You'll be back to being yourself before you know it. Hy
