Carver 320 Voyager Water heater fix?

94 Carver voyager 320. Water heater quit working on shorepower. The reset is not popped and it does not pull voltage when the breaker is turned on. Can the element be replaced or is a new heater needed?? 6 gallon I think and it is buried in the cabinetry of the galley.

May not be the element. My thermostat went with the same results. If you have some resistance across the leads to the element (power off) element should be OK. On mine there are two cut-outs, one when satisfied and then an overheat/resetable switch. I was away from marina and tried a hardware store and replaced with a universal unit for a single element, still working. A marine shop should have the exact replacement. If the tank doesn't leak, I would repair it. Way more cost effective!
