Looking at a 93 370 carver santego with 7.4l merc 845 hours. Any opinion based on experience in surveying? Is this a 45k boat?

A little more info would be appreciated, they never made a 370 santego so its either a 380 santego or a 370 voyager or aft...... Either one is worth way more than 45 grand so either your getting a steal or something is wrong with the boat.

In that case, I have been on a few, and sold a few that passed surveys with flying colors, they were all freshwater boats. You say they are asking $45,000 for it? Those boats are worth anywhere from 75-120K so 45 is really low, I would get a survey for sure and make sure its very complete. Check it out and let us know how it goes..

The 370 is a heavy boat, heading for 25k # loaded. thats a lot for gas mercs. with those hours have a compression test with the survey. 45k is very cheap if she surveys well. My experience on surveys is, "boats are cheap for a reason" find out why.

mariner61, I have to agree with John. Somthings not right with the asking value on this vessel . If the vessels in my area let me know if i can be of any help.

Mr. mariner61 did not actually say that the asking price is $45,000, he merely asked if it is a $45,000 boat. There's a big difference. The asking price is probably double that and he's looking to finesse himself a "deal".

Is this not true, Mr. mariner61?
