Just an FYI..
ABC has been cracking down on these type of events where the promoter offers up alcohol with the purchase of a ticket.
Unless the promoter has the required alcohol license and use permits from the county, the promoter, the skipper and everyone on board can be subject to citation.
I'm sure an organization such as SJYC and Meals on Wheels have applied for and rec'd such permits, but others certainly haven't.

SJYC applies for and receives all appropriate permits for these kind of events. They have an ABC license for their bar in the clubhouse and on the events which are open to the public, the receive a special one-day license and follow all the rules for that. We've been around for 50+ years and have never had a problem with ABC or any other federal/state/county entity.
