Engine in signature below is SN 0F800414 and plugs are original AC-MR43T. From what I'm told the RV91MC (aka 942M) was developed for pre-VORTEC 350/5.7L engines to reduce interference with exhaust manifolds and reduce fouling with a little longer reach into the combustion chamber.
I got a set of RV91MC and first couldn't tell how interference with manifolds would be lessened.
THEN I saw that the "little longer" reach was about 1/4" more than MR43T. I wasn't comfortable with that and reinstalled the ACs, which look fine after 200 engine hours.
I think I also heard that although this EFI is not a VORTEC, the Serial Number is above the series of engines the RV91MC was developed for.
Can anybody confirm what's right here?
