Channel Club

We'll be there with my twin girls (8), our neice (12) and our dog....the other two couples that are travelling with us have none of that, no kids or dogs.

Whats the price of gas at the Channel Club these days? I think (hope) I'm heading down on the 11th.

We're leaving tomorrow, hopefully before 12pm. Low tide at the Seabright bridge is at 2:46pm, I'd like to get there before then. I see some say it's 2.5 to 3hrs to get there...at what cruise speed? I like to cruise at 20mph and Kingston takes just about 3hrs. Do you think I can get in at low tide (we draft 3')?

In the end, who's going this weekend, are the slips really sold out? My boat is "Ohana", we're travelling with "Woven Dreams", "Martini" and "CRS".

I called and they have no slips available this weekend. Looks like another weekend of sitting home. We may go to Croton for a few hours but other than that its the couch.

There's a place next door, I think it's called "The Atlantis Yacht Club"...give them a shout.

Too late to take the time off now. I have to work tomorrow now. Thanks for the marina info.

Chris, at 20 MPH, it will take you about 3 hours to get to the bridge.

Hey Rob,

We will be going out to Croton on Friday afternoon for the weekend, you are more than welcome to raft-up.

We may do that Leigh. Saturday probably. Then maybe up to the fireworks on Saturday night.

Seabright bridge I hope, not the VZ, right Mike? The CC called to confirm and they say they have 5' at low tide as long as I stay in the channel so I'm not as worried. Besides, wife says we should be ready to go by 10am.

Just picked up cigars...waiting to leave work, too excited. We have a Bruce Springsteen concert tonight to start off the long weekend.

Yeah Chris, the VZ is about 2 hours from home

I spoke with Judy at the Channel Club today to make a reservation and asked about gas... $3.89..FYI

Well, we had our trip to the Channel Club. All the first-timers were very impressed. We had great weather save a storm tha blew in for a half hour....something we can deal with. Besides the usual pool beach and restaurant, we fished from shore and my wife discovered the Monmouth Mall....go figure. Next year she wants to go to the race track which sounds cool.

It was great to meet you Bill (Victoria's Secret), when did you end up leaving? I hope you didn't see me pulling out, I had extensive use of my rubrail in that wind, LOL. But, with careful usage of the pilings I was pinned against, the rub-rail and pivoting, we escaped with zero damage! All's well that ends well.

Oh and BTW, we left at high tide, I hailed the Seabright bridge and they could handle 16' down center line at high tide. I'm pushing ~15' with the stern light over the radar so we were granted an opening...the kids really thought that was cool.

No, no Dolphins. I don't think they have been spotted in a few weeks. Too bad, that would have been icing on the cake.
