Boatered Forums Code of Conduct:

1: Keep it clean.

This site is meant to be family friendly. No nudity, profanity, defamatory, obscene, or unlawful material allowed or tolerated. Boatered is not obligated to send users a warning before deleting any content. Offenders will be warned, repeat offenders may be suspended or banned at the Moderator’s discretion.

If it is not family friendly, marking it NSFW (Not Safe For Work) does not make it okay to post. Also, placing a symbol such as “*” or “#” into words that are inappropriate to post does not make them appropriate. Please do not post a word with a * or # in it if you can't post it in its regular format.

We are all adults here, please use proper discretion.

2: Respect your fellow members.

We encourage everyone to treat each other with mutual respect. Do not use the forum or any of its communication or collaboration systems to insult, threaten, harass, stalk, or abuse other members. Personal insults will not be tolerated and will be removed. Repeat offenders may have their membership suspended or cancelled at the Moderator’s discretion.

Disagreeing with each other is fine and to be expected, just keep to civil discourse.

3: No Spam or Commercial Marketing.

Do not “Spam” our forum, messaging system, or other site communication or posting features. We do not allow commercial postings without prior Administrator approval. Commercial advertising posted, including banner or profile photos, or posts deemed to be promoting products or service may be removed at the Moderator discretion.

4: Keep it Legal:

Posts, photos, or other communications promoting any illegal activity are strictly prohibited and will result in post deletion and banning of the member.

5. Do not cross post questions

Please refrain from posting the same question in several forums. There is normally one forum which is most suitable in which to post your question.

6: Keep it honest

A user may create, maintain and use no more than one account to post content only on his/her or its own behalf. A user must create his/her or its account personally and manually and may not create accounts by any automated means. A user may not create or use additional accounts or any account of another and must not permit, enable, induce or encourage others to create accounts for him/her or it. If you re having trouble accessing your user account, or would like to change your user name, please contact an Admin for assistance.
