Looks like we could have 12+ hours below freezing tonight, I'm thinking of running antifreeze through the engines & genny just to be safe.

Then back up to 60 by Thursday!

I'm thinking of jumping in the car and driving to Florida !!!!. Go put my ass in the warm sand !!!!

The water should keep anything from freezing. I think you would need quite a few days of below freezing before you would have to worry but I guess for a few bucks it's not a bad insurance policy.

Andy make sure you have Tstats installed with them. I've heard they can actually get the engines too warm and dry up the cylinder walls. When I questioned this the mechanic surveying Freedom years ago let me have it.

I drained my blocks and trans thru the hoses yesterday just before the wet stuff really hit. Wouldn't that be just as quick? Took me less than 15 mins. But again, the water temp us in the low 50s on the creek and that should help along with all the sun we got and little snow.

Andy, no power at the marina, so heaters won't help. I drained the aftercoolers and heat exchangers, added 3 gallons of pink.

Sixty degrees by the weekend. Hold off on the pink stuff. There is still boating left in this season !

Went out today and fueled up, $4.00/gallon for diesel at Haverstraw.

If we're hauled by the weekend, we're coming over to your boat!

We woke up this morning to outside temps of 26 degrees. Inside we were cozy at 78 degrees actually I was hot my wife thought it was perfect. The dock and boat were iced from the dew. By about 11AM all the ice was gone. We decided to stay down again tonight. We are trying to get as much usage out of the boat as we can. I have to be back at work by 10AM tomorrow. My wife and I will have to be careful leaving the boat and walking up the docks that early. Water temp is 48.6 degrees at the boat right now. The storm really dropped the water temperature where we are located. The upcoming weekend looks promising.
