I'm heading out to Norwalk for the weekend I was going to leave this afternoon but do to the front coming I pushed up my departure to this morning. I should be safe I my slip before the rain starts. I just hope I don't feel trapped in the cabin for the weekend do to the weather. I'm taking my inlaws for their first overnight trip on our boat. The last boat was too small I hope this boat has enough room so I don't have to jump ship before the weekend is over.

With the amount of rain we have had all summer in the northeast I can't imagine anyone not used to being "trapped" inside their boat! ;)

Have a safe and enjoyable trip Dave.

Thanks when are you heading back?

Monday...

Heading to Branford Ct today for a couple of days. Slowly getting closer to home. Damn, how time flies when your out on the boat!

We're heading to Branford, too!! Maybe we'll see you there.

I made it safely to Norwalk before the rain. It was a great ride, all went well. I'm here for two night so I'll be back on Sunday. $309.00 for Diesel seems a bit high but I'm on vacation and they gave a cash dicount so it was a little less, good thing I wasn't empty I would need a bigger boat to carry the cash.

Good thing you decided to leave a little early. We had a good storm, strong winds, heavy rain, and lightning move thorugh the Haverstraw area early to mid-afternoon yesterday. It was moving from the southwest to the northeast (more or less) and the bay really looked snotty. Hope the weather holds for the next few days...we'll be headed for L.I. Sound tomorrow morning.

We wound up at Brewers Pilot Point. Funny thing, we saw a boat that looked just like yours there!

Friday was was HHH for the trip the river was a dead calm the sound had a nice chop but a was a great run cruised at 23 mph the whole way with the occational slow down in the east river. I'm looking forward to the ride home but not looking forward to getting there.

Where are you heading? The weather here today is great although I can't see the sound it might be a little rough. Have a good trip.

Sunday night Port Washington, Monday night Milford Landing, Tuesday night back at City Island, back home Wednesday.

If this is your first time to Milford, great margaritas at the mexican place overlooking the marina and Scoopie doo's has great ice cream.

Ran from Branford today, it was very snooty until we got to Port Jeff. Good 3' chop the whole way. Calmed down at Port Jeff, and nice ride to Brewers Capri, were we are now.

Capri is in Port Washington unless they all carry the same name. Nice place been there many times. Last year there were lass big boats 100' + they blamed the price of fuel the said they all stayed in FL didn't want to pay the fuel to bring them up. I guess it was cheaper to fly the the boat. We happen to show up during their annual party they made us feel welcome it was very nice.
I'm heading back today not sure when I have to see when they need me out I'm in no rush.

I havn't been to Milford in over 20 maybe 25 years don't remember much about it please post and let us know how it is.

Dave

Low tide is 3:30ish in Stony Point Today so you are looking at per 1-1:30, post 5:30-6 arrival times. Might want to keep that in mind.

We said screw the boat and hoped in the car to Wildwood NJ. Best weather we have had all year. 80-85 and SUNNY. Its so nice we are staying a few more days.

Today was one of the best days for Stony Point weather all year. Got back to the marina around 1 PM, cleaned up the boat, took Giggity over to Bowline and hung out with B Dock. What a great way to end the vacation.

I'm glad to both see and hear that everyone made it back from their trips safely. We had a great weekend and Rommer I knew about the tides so we stopped in Port Washington dropped anchor and had lunch then came back the long way around the city because my In-laws have never made that ride.

We always scrub the boat when we come back from a salt water trip it hard work to clean it. I can't imagine having to deal with that every week.

Dave, 2 words, SALT AWAY!

Spray it on, rinse it off, no more salt.

BTW - we are heading home today. Fortunately it looks like the good weather will last one more day. It's been a great couple of weeks.

I thought you were back as I drove past your slip it must have been the boat in front of you that I saw. I did notice Bob was back I assumed you traveled together.
I'll have to pick up some salt away.
Due you know of anything for the diesel dirt? it seems to stick to the pro polish like glue any thing I use to clean it take off the polish then I reaply the polish and start again. There must be a better way.
Have a good last leg of you trip.
