Current Ripping + Stripers Busting Top = Fish Catching
Tim and I met at the ramp on 7-17-06, at 7:00am. The first line was in the water by 07:15 and the last cast was at 4:20 pm as we left active fish. The pictures will tell the story.
Always Look for the Swiftest Current
There was Plenty Bait in the Swift Current as the Stripers Busted Top Water
One Hard Pulling Striped Bass
The most productive lure was a 4" SaltWater Sea Shad (Bass Assassin), Crystal, fished on a 1/4 ounce jighead. The largest striper was caught on a Storm 5" WildEye, Shad in color.
I hope to see you at MSSA, Essex Chapter tonight. I'll be speaking about stripers and spadefish fishing at the CBBT. Come early and get a good dinner at the bar.
Meeting Time: 7:30 PM
Commodore Hall on Old Eastern Avenue in Essex
