For awhile it looked like Fay might noy be such a "bad" storm. She had the potential to bring some serious amount of rain to north Georgia and her winds were staying at TS levels. Oh well, now it appears to be on a track west along the northern gulf coast. So she makes a mess of my weekend. I had been tabbed by my buddy "H" to be the no.2 "captain" on his Bertram for a 3 day fishing trip about 100 miles offshore. Some co-workers of his wanted to fish for tuna, wahoo, grouper, amberjack, and the like. Of course these "sports" know little about running the boat or even rigging tackle so H needed some backup. I was looking forward to it until Fay entered the picture. Thanks to her we've cancelled the trip. We might be crazy, but we're not stupid. It's going to be a tad rough out there....I believe.

Sorry to hear that your trip got canned. We have been getting pounded all day by Fay. I think we must have gotten about 5" of rain so far just today. The winds have not been too bad but it was not a day to be on the water.

As bad as I hate missing the trip I hate north Georgia not getting the rain worse. These puddles they call lakes are still low.....

Fishing in the rain....that's not too bad. But fishing in 15" of rain can be a really soggy experience.
Watching the weather you can see that Fay wet her pants all over FL. and she's headed your way Bill. Better leave it at the dock for a couple days.
Jeez, what if Fay just waddeld back and forth over N. FL. for a few days. That'd make you wonder what you did wrong to who?
