Last Sunday evening a couple of the guys commented on how much debris there was in the river. Shortly thereafter a call came in for a boat taking on water. It was towed into Tarrytown and lifted. The outdrive looked like it was hanging by one bolt!
I'm curious why there was so much debris in the river. First I thought the north winds brought it down. Then I wondered where it brought it from. We haven't had rain like in the spring. But, did they open one of those damns up north - maybe because it had accumulated too much debris? I wonder. I had to think about that damn management action that wreaked so much havoc at the Albany area marina. Is this another case of "Open the Damn and Damn the Boater"? (Sounds good anyway).
