Not me. We took the motorhome down to Pismo.

If you did, how was the water? The crowds? The weather? Etc...

And for those of you who occasionally post some awesome pics, please share some with us!

I probably don't count since I live on my boat - I enjoy my boat every day of the week! No crowds, weather was pretty good, except for Monday and we had a ball!

I did all my boating in my driveway trying to figure out why my electric down riggers don't work properly. Finished out my "fishing" in my easy chair looking over West Marine, BoatUS and Offshore Angler catalogues looking for new gear that will make those salmon jump in my boat come July

We had a great time over Memorial Weekend. We cruised over on Friday morning to Willow Berm. The water was calm, no wind, sun shining and not much boat traffic. Willow Berm is such a nice marina. Our YC had 15 plus boats there for the long weekend. Coming back to Discovery Bay on Monday was a bit rocky near Franks Tract, but that only lasted 20 minutes or so. Great weekend and so, so nice to be out on the boat.

Boating on Memorial Day weekend around here is like drinking and driving on New Year's Eve. You know something is gonna happen, you just don't know when or how bad!

Thanks for the responses!

Yeah, sometimes you risk life and limb by boating on a holiday weekend. [:-fight]

I've "boated" more than a few times just by hanging out in one of the boats that's either in the slip or in the driveway and piddling around. Sometimes, I'd much rather just be sitting on my boat than putting up with the hen party up in the house.

Don't let the Admiral hear that though! :D

Memorial Day Weekend is unpredictable as far as the weather goes. Often windy; maybe raining. That keeps lots of people away, but when the weather is nice as Tumbling Dice described, well, that is PERFECT!!! And that rough spot at Franks Tract is a good reminder of what can be on a windy afternoon......
