There are reports that a Yorkie in an orange lifejacket fell off a boat last night (8/1) somewhere between Cedar Beach Marina and Frank & Dicks, possibly near the Babylon Cut. Please keep a lookout, and if found call the owner 516 885 1326.

Update.... A jetskier found her however, she was already deceased. Thanks to all who kept an eye out for her.

I really sorry to hear this!
I was hoping you were coming to post that they found him hiding somewhere on the boat.

That sucks.
Poor little pup.
Vest probably helped it float for a while.
People must be devastated.

I'm just wondering if people with dogs in life vests actually have them swim just to see how the animal floats and swims with the vest on? Reason I say this, I once jumped into a pool with a automatic inflatable vest just to see how I floated. First, it took forever for the cartridge to pop off and inflate the vest. And secondly, it didnt float me correctly in a dead man's float. Maybe pet owners should do that.

My dog couldn't swim in a vest.
I stopped making him wear it.
He was a strong swimmer and the vest seems to stop him from swimming at his best.

Wonder how long it was before he realized the dog went over the side. Sad.
