Hello - has anyone had dredging done at their dock in Dade or Broward county lately?

any idea of costs for such a project?

thanks!

Hi Footloose,
Here in Lighthouse Point I used Snyder Dredging and it was about $2,600 to remove app. 18 inches of material 80 feet in length and 20 feet in width. They were doing work for the city of LHP and were in our canal and offered better pricing as they were dredging the center 50'of the canal to 7' at MLW.

O, Dont tell me you are thinking about a Sailboat, how you going to throw a Rooster Tail with one of those??[:-slug]

no JMAS - but it is pretty thin at low tide and I figure the deeper it is the less banacles will grow...plus I was considerring buying a flaoting boat lift and I think they need 5 feet of depth to function.

Thanks Steve for the info

I've cleared about a foot of silt by running my motors whilst tied up to the dock.

hmmmmm I have a turd for a neighbor, perhaps it is time to turn the boat around and run the motor a bunch...fill in his dredgeing ;-)

Hear in NY the Permit would cost you $50 Grand before you could dredge a coffee cup?
