Duck bill Blues

Is there an alternative to the duck bill valve on the vented loop of the head (other than external venting). This valve continually malfunctions ie doesn't vent. I change the vent annually but the new duck bill sticks after about 1 month. The vented loop on my other head has a ball/spring type vent and it appears to be very reliable--unfortunately there is no name on the vent and I have been unable to find this type of replacement.

You'll probably have to change the entire vented loop fitting - I've serious doubts that the parts are interchangable from one manufacturer to another. Usually the manufacturer's name is molded on the side of the fitting. Then you can google them, to find out their nearest dealer.
