Hello all, I rented a house in Duck Key for a week in July which has a boat dock so gonna trailer the 23 Pro-Line down for the week. Any advice for the area boat-wise? Looks pretty shallow down there? How is the fishing? Gulf vs. Atlantic Ocean, etc.

Looks like Hawk Channel is pretty well marked with plenty of water to get out into the ocean. Never boated down there so any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks, John.

We are in Key Largo in the winter with my 18 ft boat. Everything isn't marked. You must have a chart. There are many coral humps around unmarked. There is lots of shallow water especially on the bayside. To get to one of my fishing spots the course has two doglegs. I plot my course on my GPS. If I go straight out I'll hit a patch reef. Past the reef there is plenty of water. Look on the chart to see where you can go over the reef to deep water. The fishing is good and the Keys are worth the trip.

"Plenty Of Water" After I went Through last month, it then became an honest 7'depth,I draw 5'+.... BUT you can't ask for a more beautiful area to cruise and Enjoy...
Most important is having plenty of Ice onboard... You literally can get almost Anything you want, when you can barter with ICE on the water..
ENJOY! But be safe.... Most Important is to have FUN!
CHARTS & A NAV. G.P.S are a MUST...
