My kids (and I) were shocked to see a decent population of sea nettles (stinging jellyfish) in the Mid-Bay area (including well up the Severn). Swim season is just starting!
I assume it's a sign of high salinity, which is the result of low rainfall. I also noted a strong southerly wind which may be blowing them up from the South.
