engine or fuel problem out thank god for sea tow

took the boat out today for the first time. got up on plane looked down noticed oil presure was high then the engine quit. no alarms did not noticed if tempeture was high. engine now will try and crank but can not get it to start again the is a 350 mearc, anyone have any ideas. BTW i change the gas filter on the fly incase it was a bad gas no luck

Al, did you change the filter in the carb? Happened to me, right Frank?

Theres only three things that make one run. Spark,Fuel and Pressure. If ones missing, your not going to run. I would say you either have a ignition or fuel system problem. Put just a little gas in the carb and see if she runs. If not pull a plug wire and check for spark. Let us know how it turns out. BTW: If you have a dead mans pull switch make sure its working right.

I believe Al's issue is resolved. Bill, I remember how tricky that current was assisting you to the fuel dock!

i believe it was the ignition modulator and a part in the distributer that has magnet. as soon as i was told it would take about two hunded dollars to fix i was so excited i forgot what the mechanic said the prblem was. took the boat out this past weekend all the way down the east river to the Pepsi cola sign and back she ran like a dream.
