exterior window pitting

We're looking at a '94 37' and really like the floor plan. However, the exterior window trim has a lot of pitting on the trim which appears to be aluminum. Is this common? How is it corrected or fixed? How would you keep it from doing it more? The trim does not appear to pop off. It looks like it's part of the whole window.

Any insight is appreciated!

We are debating the cost of replacing the windows all together. Has anyone done this and can you recommend a supplier-preferably in the PNW?

Have them stripped and painted or powder coated and worry about them again in 20 years.
