We made the trip to Caminada Bay and stayed until Sept. 5th.
Specks were few and far between. We were able to pick up a few on the beach side of the island, and also at Elmer's Island when the wind was right, using live shrimp.
Bull Redfish were plentiful in the bay and passes.
I didn't have any "big guns" on board, so they kept breaking up my rigs. That was aggravating. We caught our limit every day which was 1 each over 27" Our live croakers hardly had time to get wet.
We'll be gone again first part of Oct., But I'll
have the 30lb. boat rod with Penn 309. Its rigged with 60lb. dacron and 130lb. flourocarbon leader, with 8/0 J hook.
Lets see 'em break That!
