I recently needed to replace the bow eye ubolt on the admirals baby whaler. Since I was having engine service done I asked the boat shop to replace it. They, like I, thought "no big deal" easy job. Well the job might be easy but finding the correct ubolt for the whaler 13' sport turn out to be a chore. The shop searched all the local supply place and could not find one. I got online and had no luck. Whaler said the OEM part was out of production. I went back online for the 5th time and this time I stumbled on a place called Nauset Marine in Orleans , MA. They had what appeared to be the part but I could not figure out how to make a online purchase. Resorting to old school methods I called them, got their parts department, explained what I wanted, and asked how do I purchase from them. The guy laughed and allowed we will do it over the phone (no online). He got my info, checked part for fit for the whaler, confirmed it was correct, and the part was sent out that day. All I can say is WOW, what service, talked to a real person who cared to get the order correct. Told them, "I'll be back!"

BTW, I now have a account with them so it will be even faster.😁😁😁

I found a place in Tampa Fl that had a warehouse full of marine parts, used and new as wel as NOS

Y'all know I have no problem with links to these places being shared here, right?

Good to know. I remember when Boatfix was a supporter, links to competing businesses were prohibited.

I didn't post the link out of fear Brian would come down to discuss it personally with me. Not that with my sneaky old age tricks I couldn't take him, but he would likely want me to feed him and with grocery prices today not sure thats in the budget.👨‍🍳🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I would legitimately walk from New Hampshire to Alabama for one of your breakfasts...

Man, I should pay more attention to this forum. I drove right past Nauset Marine after having lunch right next door to them last month, could have helped you out if they couldn’t do it over the phone.
