Perhaps this is the best forum to address this question: what are some of things needed to be done to take a boat from fresh water to salt water use? I have a 4.3L Merc with an Alpha One outdrive and would like to boat down the Hudson to LI Sound. Also, what is done post sea water use? I may be docked in sea water for a couple of nights.
I would think the return trip home to Kingston would flush out the salt water...?
