Gas bought for boats is good for an .18 cents a gallon refund from the California state controllers office. It might add up for the bigger boats:

I was cruising through the "active topics" and saw this post - it's worth the time - I do that here in Texas (BTW - it's $0.20/gallon here). It's good for essentially most fuel used for off-highway/offroad purposes (at least in TX - ie - lawnmowers, chainsaw, construction equipment that used on-road fuel, etc.).

Is there a similar deal with CA diesel fuel for recreational vessels? I have used about 700 gal / year for the past 6.
