Gelcoat Color

I have decided to repair some battle scars on my gelcoat this spring. I bought one of those colored repair kits. Using the colors supplied I matched the color very very close. I have not yet put the hardener in it yet, and will not do so until ready for use.
My question is ...Will the gelcoat dry darker, lighter, or stay the same shade?
