Going to blow good over here

We're going to really take this thread to "organs" and "it's going to blow". I think Les might shut us down!

Dave, that's a Waeco refrigerator/freezer. Dometic bought Waeco a while back, but they're still nice units (when Dometic can't beat someone, they buy them). They make 12v or 110v/12-volt models I have the 54-quart model and have been using it for years as our "chest freezer" on the boat. They're very, very efficient. I think mine draws about 4 amps when it's on. My solar panel keeps my 315ah bank charged to no less than 85% on the trailer-trip from MD to FL (26-28 hours) with that and my refrigerator running. At anchor we wake up with about 70% left with both of them running along with the other power we use at night (lights, anchor light, head, etc.).

We just spent the better part of the day with Dan & Deb. I want to thank them both for a wonderful time here in Hope Town. I'm hoping we're here a few more days to enjoy their hospitality. I'm on a quest to see just how seasoned my liver actually is. :-)

Glad you re having a good time!

The one place I ll take lunch ashore instead of on the boat is a Conch burger with a Kalik at the bar over at Staniel cay YC!

Dan, are you goIng to spend the summer there or head back?

Pascal we are moving back to Florida for the Summer. Gotta get the deferred maintenance supplies, do the bottom, look for a dwelling, and take care of visits etc.. If Okeechobee is high enough we'll traverse it otherwise we will leave the Bahamas via Bimini to Miami, then work our way up the West Coast.
