GPS POI for Chesapeake Bay

Does anyone know of a good resource to get GPS POI (Points of Interest) files for the Chesapeake Bay region.

I'm looking for GPS coordinates and general information (address, phone, facilities, etc.) about hotels, marinas, restaurants, resorts, fishing spots, etc.). I just bought a Garmin map handheld and Bluechart software and now I'm looking to load up my memory card with some good data.

The closest I've come so far is the http://www.poifriend.com/ web site. However, it's been a hit or miss finding things.

Most of the information your looking for is on the BlueChart Software. When you search for restaurants, the GPS will locate the restaurants nearest your location, scrolling through and highlighting your choice will 'drill down' to restaurant name, address and phone number. The GPS will give you an option to Save, or Goto that waypoint. The same holds true for marinas and hotels.

Work with the software, you'll be amazed at the amount of information available on that disc and what can be uploaded to your handheld GPS.

I see what you mean. I spent some additional time with the software over the weekend and found an area I had not yet explored.

I did fine with the charts. However, I didn't locate the tidal and marine services information until I learned how to switch my view. Once I did, I uploaded the information to the GPS with the charts.
