I saw no reason to go into Bowline when the conditions in Croton were perfect...

The reports I heard were that the north wind made Croton a bit snotty. A north wind is a prescription for Bowline.

Don't believe everything you hear.. The conditions were perfect all weekend long. There was a slight north wind on Sat but certainly no snot.

Leigh, we saw you on Saturday and agree it was nice, did you stay out through Monday? I gotta believe my kids who went over on jet skis and the jet boat that it was snotty over there on Monday.

When Tim took the jet boat over on Monday he said it was rather rough there. No wind on Sunday night, so it would have been calm.

There was almost a ripple in the water at Bowline, we were ready to head in!

Monday! Well, that would be the end of a great weekend.. We headed in around 10:30 on Monday so must have missed the snotty conditions. We had a great BBQ on the Peninsula at Haverstraw Marina Monday afternoon.

That ripple Sunday night was not from the wind. So thats what I have been told any how!!!!!

Butch, consider the source of this "information"...

Mike you do have a point there.....Anyone who would allow himself to be abused the way he was really cant be trusted....

Monday was a bit rough at Croton until about 5-6pm then it calmed down quite a bit.

Mike that picture of the boys in the dink pretty much sums it all up and makes it all worth while, doesn't it. My girls were rowing the dinghy to shore with their friends...it's amazing how quickly they learned how to row. I really wish I had a camera to capture the smile on their faces....all this without a TV.

Then today, I went on a field trip to the "hudson river" (croton point nature center) and guess who was the super star of her class....

Chris, normally they would be using the engine, but I couldn't get it to run properly.

Me thinks you missed my point....the kids look very happy and they're not in front of the boob tube. Instead, they're out enjoying nature, learning independence, getting some exercise and most importantly, spending time with family and friends. They are forming memories that will last a life time.

OK, didn't mean to get sappy on you, I'll put the crocs back on the shelf.

Getty on this site a little late this week. The pictures look great Mike. It was a wonderful time last weekend. Can you ask for anything better. By the time we pumped out and cleaned up it was 9:30 pm on Monday night. Of course it was tough getting up on Tuesday. Well I guess that's the price you have to pay. A good price that is. Well, we enjoyed ourselves with you all. It was a great time. Many laughs.

I was able enjoy the speed that my new 15 hp mercury provided for the dingy. That thing fly's. Now I can sell my 8hp yamaha. I glad it worked. So when are you getting one Mike. It may be time or you can try my 8hp. I do have to sell it now. It need to go to a good home.
Just remember.... if you get hungry, you can always eat the bowling ball!!!! Do you remember telling that joke Mike?!?!?!?![}:)]

Oh by the way Warren, Ilene has no problem suppling her bra next time. I understand the one you were wearing Saturday night was not the right cup size. [:-headache][:-eyebrows]

Yes, I remember telling that joke...

I have not laughed that much in ages, my sides were killing me and I had tears streaming down my face. But at least I didn't pee in my pants...
